Loft conversion, extension and refurbishment of a detached bungalow, Oakridge Lynch, Gloucestershire
This 1950s bungalow sat on a sloping site with extensive views over open fields towards Cirencester. The external hard landscaping was in seriously poor repair and had been collapsing. The brief called for a complete revamp and conversion to a large family home. A small single-storey extension combined with the conversion of the roof space and a first-floor extension changed the bungalow into a two-storey house. External remodelling and the addition of an oak framed entrance porch and rear terrace transformed this rather dull and outdated bungalow into a Cotswolds style house in keeping with its surroundings.
